

About Siobhan
Siobhan Townsend, a native Long Islander - was a born to be a music lover through and through. From a young age she always knew that she would pursue an artistic career. Growing up outside of the greatest city in the world; New York. A youth spent surrounded by music, she started taking lessons in piano at her local music shop, adding in instruments like clarinet, oboe, and various percussion instruments. Then a strong foundation in choir followed, along with competitive marching band lead Siobhan to perform in all kinds of venues throughout her early life.
Participating in several orchestras, later as a featured soloist and as an oboist with the esteemed Long Island Philharmonic. Continuing on as a multi-instrumentalist and active pit musician seen in several productions across Long Island and Chicagoland, hoping to continue to expand into more Actor Musician roles in the future! Siobhan graduated from Suffolk County Community College (Fins Up, Sharks!), and finally finished her Bachelors of the Arts in from Columbia College Chicago.
Her passion and talent in music pushed her to fully immerse herself into the world of theatre, pursuing her craft throughout her higher education and beyond. Siobhan is a Irene Ryan Nominee via the Kennedy Center American College Theater Festival. Utilizing the opportunity to perform and play, learning from peers, and using theater as an chance to walk in the shoes of others has allowed Siobhan to foster those talents and grow an artist.
She fell in love with the world of behind-the-scenes work in makeup and special effects throughout her performing endeavors, and has even been seen in the shadows of the Long Island haunted house scene.
She has a background in teaching children’s theatre, group classes and private music lessons in piano, and voice for students of all ages. Teaching a focus in healthy technique, college audition prep, musical theatre repertoire/book building, “Acting the Song”, as well as Music Theory for Musical Theatre performers- coaching students since 2016!
When she is not performing; Siobhan is sunset and beach lover, movie buff, music production nerd, Halloween and spooky season enthusiast, a baker, and adores movement practices such as Pilates. She hopes to travel to see as much of the world as she can with her partner-in-crime Ethan. She also is a 500 hour Comprehensively Certified Pilates Instructor; on her way to becoming a nationally certified Pilates instructor!
